Yes, we have come full circle for the facts you stated -- running backs are predominantly black and whites these days struggle with race prejudice when trying to get into pro or college sports. Like you said, "he plays pretty good for a white boy". Sorry -- that statement IS racist, regardless of the current norms. Why not simply state, "he plays pretty good"? Seems odd that white people struggle with race prejudice these days and nobody seems to care or notice. Whites face prejudice not only in sports, but also in the workforce. When faced with two equally competent applicants, one black (or Asian, Hispanic, etc.)and one white, who do you think will get the job? Likely not the white person. Our society is trained so keenly NOT to be racist that in general we actually have become prejudiced against whites in many respects. I personally hate to see a young white boy or girl who tries to dress, talk, and behave as if they were black. What's wrong with being proud of yourself for whoever you are, whether that's black, white or green. That goes for a person's sexual affiliation as well. Who cares what color a person is or whether they're gay, straight, or bi? Look at people for what they are on the inside and never judge them for what you see on the outside.

I've got to agree with you on these issues. Especially the cell phone banning. Driving and talking on your cell should be outlawed and big hefty fines and jail terms handed out to those who disobey the law. I also feel cell phones should be banned in all public places such as restaurants, stores, etc. I don't want to hear someone's private conversation (why do they talk so loud anyway) and neither do I want my picture taken without my knowledge and passed around to someone's friends or my private conversation with someone recorded on their cell for others to hear.

YES! This should be published in every driver's handbook. In fact, in the N. Carolina driver book (back when i read it in '94) They stated that the #1 reason for traffic accidents was people driving too slow, particularly in passing lane. I'm not suggesting you need to drive faster than you can safely control your vehicle, i'm merely stating that if someone wants to go faster, move over. The sign says "slower traffic keep right". If you're in the fast lane and someone's wanting to go faster, you're the slower traffic! Move over!
